About the game
Legends of Hina is a free browser MMORPG made by one independent developer, Jugachi. There is no studio behind it: the same person designs the game, writes the code and runs the servers.
From Discord bot to browser game
Legends of Hina did not start in the browser. It began as a public Discord bot that you played inside Discord, and over two years it turned from a bot into a real game.
Development starts. Legends of Hina launches as a public Discord bot, played right inside Discord through chat commands.
The bot keeps growing, release by release, from a set of chat commands into an actual game.
The game moves to the browser and becomes the version you play today, on any phone, tablet or desktop.
New releases ship several times a week, each one listed in the changelog.
Updated all the time
The changelog starts with the move to the browser in August 2026, and new releases have shipped several times a week since. Every player-facing change is listed in the changelog with what it added, changed and fixed, written for players rather than for developers.
How it is built
The game server is written in Rust on top of a PostgreSQL database, and the game you play is a React app that runs in any modern browser. Battles, gathering, crafting and AFK sessions are all resolved on the server, so your progress is the same on every device you sign in from.
Free to play
Legends of Hina is free to play. An optional gem store sells conveniences such as extra bags, mounts, elixirs and experience scrolls, and a supporter pass adds name cosmetics and longer AFK sessions. You can earn gems in the game by claiming your daily reward.
Get in touch
The quickest way to reach the developer and other players is the official Discord server. You can also write to support@jugachi.com. Legal details are in the imprint.
